Four County EMC's Annual Meeting Set For Monday, October 8
September 24th, 2012Four County EMC�s Annual Membership Meeting will be held Monday, October 8, at Elizabethtown Middle School at 1496 US-701 South in Elizabethtown. The meeting is open to all Four County EMC members. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and the program will kick off at 7:30 p.m.
Food and beverages will be provided by Billy’s Pork and Beef of Wallace. Three directors will be elected and the Dove Brothers Quartet, known for their success over the years in Gospel music, will entertain at this year’s meeting. In addition, David Browning will provide comical entertainment as “The Mayberry Deputy.”
Terms of the following directors (listed with their Directorate Districts) will expire this year: Ronald J. Allen, North Bladen; Eugene Jordan, West Pender; Steve Matthis, West Sampson. These incumbents will be presented for re-election on October 8.
Activities for children will be provided by Festivities with Flair of Burgaw and will feature creation stations and a balloon twister. Supervision in the children’s area will be provided.
If you are unable to attend, you can still vote by using a proxy form which will be mailed to all members with the 2011 Annual Report and the Official Notice of the Annual Meeting in the October issue of Carolina Country Magazine. Any member may vote his or her vote and (1) one proxy vote on behalf of one residential member and (1) one additional proxy vote on behalf of members such as churches, businesses, organizations or similar groups, provided the member is so designated as the authorized representative of the organization. Moreover, all proxies must be valid as determined by the Credentials and Election Committee. Proxy forms are not eligible to win prizes.
Every member of the Cooperative is encouraged to attend this once-a-year event to cast his/her vote for directors, share in community fellowship, and learn more about the business practices of Four County EMC. There will also be great prizes to be won for those who register, including electric appliances, energy credits and the grand prize of a GMC-Sierra retired pick-up truck! Refreshments will be served including your choice of a BBQ or chicken sandwich, potato chips and a soft drink. We look forward to seeing our members on October 8!
