Four County EMC Procures Loans for Mojotone LLC and Pender EMS and Fire Inc.

Four County EMC assisted Mojotone LLC and Pender EMS and Fire, Inc. secure loans through the U.S. Department of Agriculture�s Rural Economic Development Loan and Grant program. The USDA provides zero-interest loans to utilities which can then be passed on to local businesses for projects that will create and retain jobs for rural communities.
Local and government officials including Congressman David Rouzer gathered in Burgaw on Friday, April 20 for the grand opening of Mojotone LLC. Remaining in Burgaw, the local business has operated in Pender County since 2005 and recently relocated to their new 40,000 square foot facility only a few miles from their previous location. Mojotone is an electronics supplier, custom and vintage reproduction speaker cabinet builder and world class pickup manufacturer that serves electric guitar and tube amplifier enthusiasts, technicians and builders. The company currently has a workforce of 62.
Pender EMS and Fire, Inc. recently added a new ambulance, first responder 911 vehicles and the associated equipment to upfit vehicles used to provide emergency medical services for the citizens of Pender County.
